About TxSonar
A free tool for the moment your crypto has not arrived and you cannot tell whether that is normal, fixable, or final.
Why it exists
Block explorers show what the blockchain recorded. They do not tell you whether your money is safe. Developer tools like Tenderly and Phalcon go far deeper, but they are built for engineers debugging contracts, not for someone who just wants to know where their savings went.
The gap is not decoding — that part is a commodity. The gap is the answer afterwards: for this transaction and this exchange, will the funds come back, what does it cost, how long does it take, and where do you go. That data exists, scattered across 11 help centres, and nobody had collected it.
What it will never do
- Ask for your seed phrase or private key. Nothing legitimate ever will.
- Ask you to connect a wallet. Everything here works from a transaction hash alone.
- Ask you to sign anything, or hold, move or touch your funds in any way.
- Promise to recover anything. We report what the exchange says it does, nothing more.
- Charge you to be told your funds are gone.
If a site offering to recover your crypto asks for any of the first three, close it. That is the shape of the fraud that surrounds this topic.
How it pays for itself
Right now it does not — it is free, has no ads, and sells nothing. If that changes, it will not change on the pages that give recovery advice, because charging the person who just lost money for the answer is the business model we are the alternative to.
Getting it wrong
A confidently wrong answer here is worse than no answer: it sends someone into a multi-week support queue for nothing, or convinces them money they could still recover is gone. So the tool says “we could not determine this” where that is the truth, and every claim about an exchange is dated and linked to that exchange's own page.
If you find something wrong on this site, it is worth telling us — the methodology page explains where each figure comes from and when it was last checked.
No wallet connection. No seed phrase. Read-only — we never ask for one, and no legitimate service ever will.
