Withdrawal holds compared, exchange by exchange

28 published rules across 7 exchanges. The same action gets you 24 hours at one exchange and seven days at another, and nobody publishes the comparison — each exchange documents only its own.

What the table shows once you read down it

Reversible funding is what buys you a long hold. Card and bank deposits can be pulled back by the sender weeks later, so exchanges sit on the equivalent amount until the payment is final — seven days at Binance.US and Kraken. Account changes are shorter, 24 to 48 hours, because the risk they cover is an attacker who has just taken over the account and wants to move fast.

The outlier is Gemini: seven days on a newly approved withdrawal address, where most exchanges use 24 hours. If you use Gemini, add an address before you need it.

Not yet researched

Binance (global) and Bybit are missing from this table because nobody has read their pages yet — not because they have no holds. An empty row would read as "no hold here", which is a claim we have not checked.

Work out your own date

The calculator takes your exchange, what you did and when, and gives the exact moment withdrawals reopen.

Every figure read off the exchange's own help pages. Data version 2, last updated September 1, 2026. Sources and per-exchange verification dates are on each exchange's page.
